Have you ever wondered what are the effects of inactivity on your body are?
You get a little too busy and you miss a workout here and there, then all of a sudden it’s been one month, then six months, then a year.
Your pants are a little more snug and your favourite top seems to accentuate the not-so-great areas of your body.
If you are like me, by that time it’s difficult to start up again, so you end up filling your time with Netflix or playing video games.
Below is a summary of the effects on different parts of your body when you live a life of a couch potato or have been inactive for a long time due to injury.
After a few years of not working out, my health has decreased and I am experiencing some of the things that are mentioned above and maybe you have as well.
Luckily for us, these effects are reversible and with a little bit of movement and a well-balanced meal we can prevent these effects from happening to us.
